Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead

Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead

I have a huge appetite for food documentaries. I mostly watch ones about corruption in the farming industry, and the effects of fast food on our health and the economy (I’m making a conscious effort to eat less meat).

But then I came across Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. Joe Cross, a morbidly obese Australian, suffering from a debilitating autoimmune disease, decides to turn his life around with a 60 day fruit and vegetable juice fast. Along the way, he inspires Phil Staples, an American weighing in at over 400 pounds, to do the same.

It really is an incredible story.

(The video is hosted by an American service, so you may need to install a little extension for Chrome or Firefox called Media Hint, but totally worth it!)
